Last Saturday, me and some friends from Malaysian Association, went to Calton Hill to have some picnic ;) It was quiet a cooling weather… I though it would be warmer so I only wear jumper and singlet… should have wore one more layer… Calton Hill is a very beautiful hill. U can see the city landscape from there ;) Pretty amazing ;)
Last Friday, I helped out in worship during the christian fellowship. It has been quiet some time since I last play keyboard… not to mention playing during worship… The song wasn’t hard, but I really don’t have confident in myself… I feel so scared throughout the worship… Hands were trembling… At one point I even searching the chorus… I was like “Shit, which chord?Which chord? Where is the paragraph?” But still I actually enjoyed it. I still love piano and keyboard ;)
Im now applying a volunteer work as a counselor. Hopefully I will be recruited. I really need some practical experience in counseling children and young people. At the same time, I will also apply a graduate job. The career service people said, the closing date for next year summer or autumn job is end of Oct or Nov. I found a job as a young carers support worker. Hopefully I can get the job.
To be able to work here is not that simple as I thought. I need to apply job from company which register under employer sponsorship. then only they are able to change my visa to tier 2 working visa. Which then limited the choices available. Hopefully everything will go well ;))
A new month. I bet it’s gonna be a busy month as well.
Today I attended Contemporary General Drop-In Class. Wow! Sure the teaching pace was faster then Beginner Class. It’s really challenging. It’s kinda hard at the beginning especially for the floor movement, but at the end I started to get the momentum and all the movement somewhat flow better. I hope the class is longer. 1 hour is kinda short. Today class was fun ;) But I think I will go back to the Beginner Class. I think Beginner Class is more suitable for a fresher like me ;)
Today I had an online tutorial. Listening to lecture answering our questions, sometimes can be a bit weird. Need to stay focus, as you can’t just pause and replay to listen it. It’s a different experience, but I still prefer face-to-face lecture ;)
Today I went to the cell group meeting. There were 12 people in our cell. 8 of us are medical students. 2 of them are working as a doctor now. So many smart people among us. I realized there are a lot of Singaporeans and Malaysians came here to study medic. It’s costly coz you need to study 5-6 years. Wow! Rich people. When you listen to medic students have their medic talks, you realized a lot of jargon pop out in the conversation. Just like we psych students are having our psych talks ;DD Although you don’t understand the jargon, but it’s interesting to listen to their conversation.
